How can a college student eat less sodium?

Question:
College student with not a lot of time to cook, its either fast food or Canned soup/frozen dinner. All high in sodium... what can a college student do to eat less sodium?

Answers:
See if you can find the low-sodium options in the frozen section or canned goods. Campbells has lower sodium soups. At least you could compare packages for sodium content, and choose the lower one. Also, try making sandwhiches and having apples instead as an alternative.
go to subway or someplace like that. it's cheap, fills you up, and pretty damn healthy as well.
Eat faster foods that grow on trees and in gardens. Fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds and herbs..

If your looking for fast prepared super healthy living foods I can assist you with that.

Stay away from fast food. Not only does it get expensive, but even the "healthy" options like Subway are full of sodium and like most restaurants, have white bread. The wheat bread is just wheat flavored white, not whole wheat. I don't know what kind of cooking facilities you have, but things like beans and brown rice, whole wheat pasta and tomato sauce are cheap and healthy. Toss in some tofu or something with the pasta and steamed veggies on the side of either, and you've got a meal.

Also, natural peanut butter (the kind without the corn syrup and/or high fructose corn syrup) and natural fruit spread (also corn syrup and high fructose corn syrup free; just fruit and pectin) on whole wheat bread (again, lacking corn syrup and HFCS) with some veggies or fruit is a good thing, too. Plus, it's portable so you can quick slap it together and eat it on your way to class.

Anyway, I hope this helps.
