You should make an appointment to see your doctor. You may need oxygen treatments to help expand your lung capacity. This MAY help. The oxygen certainly won't hurt you, but as you get winded, slow down. Gradually, run faster, and when it feels like your chest is tightening and you show the first signs of being winded, immediately slow down. You shouldn't push yourself too hard. Hang in there, and Congrats on quitting! Keep up your hard work, and keep dedicated to staying away from smoking - it'll all work out for you. Just make that Dr. Appt - after all - your the one that needs to take care of yourself -- no one else will do it for you! Best of luck to you!

hope i helped!
Have patience and stop bothering particularly if the doc has cleared u.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%.
Chew each morsel at least 32 times. Do not touch articles of food or the cutlery in between. This will activate ur body to generate strong signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks (minimum 20 min duration) regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. It is however to be noted that one cannot change the shape or size of different parts of the body.
