Can't afford gym.?

Question:
I can't afford a gym membership. But I want to be healthy and be able to "work out" my body. What kinds of exercises I could do. I know of pushups, but what else? I am kinda new to all this as well.

Answers:
Running/walking is great...pick a good 2-3 mile route, start walking it and adding little burst of running, adding more each week.

Also, hand weights, push-ups, exercise ball. Exercise bands are also great. If you don't have these things, jumping jacks, sitting against the wall, push ups, etc. are great ways to workout. Try doing 3 reps of 8 for each and then up it to 3 reps of 12. Allow your muscles time to recover.

Also, one of my favorite exercises is using the jump rope. You can find one for very inexpensive (under $5) and start out doing 25 to 50 reps (work up to 100, jumping fast), push ups, sit ups, 25 to 50 reps jump rope, repeat push ups, sit ups.(repeat as many as you are able) Anyway, there is so much you can do from home. Eat well, exercise at least 4 times a week. 3X a week maintains, 4 or more will build muscle. Stretch well, drink lost of water! Good Luck!
if u are poor, just try to run around a few streets, its free........ not the trainers
1) If you want to get regular exercise without exerting yourself too much or causing yourself a lot of pain, just take half-hour walks three times a week. As you get used to exercising, you can up not only the number of times you go out, but also how long you walk. It's easy, low-impact exercise which can make a surprising change in your lifestyle.

Beyond that, I can only suggest doing some online research. But to be honestly, I can't recommend much without knowing your body type. But if you're looking to actually lose weight, then read on...

2) Start cutting out greasy, high-fat foods from your diet, including any kind of fast food (especially burgers, fried chicken, and pizza), chips, and rich desserts. Don't skimp out on the protein altogether, though, since it will help you to feel full. But stick to lean meat, and stay away from carbohydrates as much as possible. Learn to make healthy choices as think before you eat.

3) Start including things like delicious fruit (watermelon and pineapple in particular are in season right now), and a salad at least once a day. They will provide you with the nutrients you need on top of helping you to feel full and satisfy your need for munchies.

4) Also, drink things like bottled water, diet soda, fruit juice, and nonfat milk instead of high-calorie sodas or beer.

5) Try joining Weight Watchers. If you choose the payment plan where you pay less but go to every single meeting, it's only about $20 per month. The members are mostly women, but more and more men are joining these days, I've noticed, and young people aren’t that uncommon. The new Flex Plan teaches still teaches portion control but with the added benefit of personalizing your eating plan by gender, height, age, and physical activity as well as weight. Moreover, you'll be in a group setting, which will help you to remember that you're all in it together.

6) Finally, if you can, make a friend who can help you with your weight loss; a man or woman who is also dedicated to shedding extra pounds. You can reinforce one another and share your experiences.

I'm actually a Weight Watchers member myself. I just got back on the program, and I've already lost more than 13 lbs after only a month or so. I'm tired of not fitting in my favorite clothes, and that's why I decided to really commit myself this time. No more half-assing it for me. ^^
pushups situps jogging sprinting...
the whole deal
eating right
etc.
knock urself out and go crazy
determination needs to be a key in this situation
You could do allot of things like sit-ups, dips with the use of a chair, running, biking, and swimming. The possibilities are endless, it just depends on how creative you are.
Instead of working out at the gym , try to " build " a gym at your home. Not literally ,you can even buy some barbell.(That's the one cheaper!)
stick a shovel handle through a cinder block. That's how Arnold started out. Also have a look through the local second hand stores, they sell weights stuff dirt cheap...just add when you can afford to. The net is full of good beginner workout routines... Good Luck.

Get exercise tapes from the library. Get a few dumbells and use them. Do some running around a neighborhood park.
