Eating Less?

Question:
I have a small problem. So I eat dinner a portion about the size of a handpalm to two handpalms. But if I am still hungry or even if I just look in the fridge and see something I like. I will eat it. My doctor has told me I am a healthy weight for my height but I do have a little extra weight. Is there a way to stop me from looking in the fridge or thinking about a food that's waiting for me so I can lose some weight?

Answers:
have you tried going outside and talking to people?
two palm fulls worth of food isn't a big dinner, you can eat a little more and be fine.
When you eat dinner, eat it slowly. Take time to stop and talk to your family. Also drink lots of water. And when you look in the fridge remind yourself that these foods will still be on the earth for a long time. THey will never go extinct. And remeber when you eat your stomach is only the size of your palm so don't over stuff it.

Count to ten. MOst cravings only last for ten minutes. So if you can hold yourself over ten minutes you are good.

Also brush your teeth! ONce you brush your teeth it makes you not want to eat.

If you still think you are hungry, try chewing bubblegum. It gives you the feeling like you are eating.

ONly eat if you are hungry, not if you are bored or depressed.

WHen you eat, have lots of fruit and vegetables.

Eat foods like celery that have negative calories.

And spicy foods are also good because they boost your metabolism.

Drink Plenty of water a day! CUt out juices and soda.

For breakfast try eating Special K cereal. It tastes great and has no fat.I lost 10 pounds by eating Special K for breakfast instead of sugars.

There is also a hint. You can eat every three hours if you eat foods with empty calories or low cal. This way you will always be full and still not gain any weight.

Try to get some exercise in with this all. Run/walk on the treadmill 30-45 min. a day 3-4 times per week. Also do sit ups, pilates, and weights.

Good luck!
The rumor that says that chewing gum is good to get rid of cravings is merely a myth. Chewing gum gets the saliva flowing but you're not eating anything. You are tricking your body. So when you spit out the gum, cravings are a lot more because your mind is telling you to eat food to make up for the time you were chewing the gum. The best way to rid of cravings? My personal craving killer is water and high fiber foods. Good luck on cutting down :)
Your problem is not that small. My guess you are eating lots of simple carbs. and very small portions. Your metabolism rate is slow and the simple carbs are making you hungry.
