If you have health concerns, see your doctor before doing anything.
Ask your self do u still want to grow taller? If yes then stop if no then yes u can lift now.
Im 15 too and i dont want to lift weight yet, im 5"7 and wanting to get taller for basketball. You still have plenty of time later in life to lift weight so why rush now? Being tall, it wont happen wen u get older but it all up to your choice.
Well I remember reading a magazine and this little kid I don't know how old but hes really young and he was REALLY buff he had muscles and he only ate like fruit and vegetable and he lifted weights but he can never grow much taller because he worked out alot I'm not really sure how it stunts growth but theres also a kid in my school hes about 15 years old and he was short I was almost as tall as he is and I'm 13 years old and he also worked out alot and has muscle but I'm not really sure how it stunts your growth.
if you have health problems ask a doctor if not then knock yourself out
You need to know that you're physically capable of doing what you say Health Wise. I'm sure you have to have a physical for school but talking with someone with actual knowledge in this area is your best bet.

lifting weights does not stunt growth!!!!! this is the biggest fitness myth out there. i started lifting when i was 13. i didnt stop growing till i was in my 20's. keep lifting. at your age you hormone levels are super high. your levels are the same as a 30 year old on steroids. take advantage of this. learn as much as you can about weight training and nutrition. this is more important than training itself. good luck.
I would wait about three more years before you can do serious weight training, at the age you are now, your body is still developing, if you do want to start weight lifting start with the lighter weights first then increase a little at a time.
Well, in my school, I think they start lifting weights in 9th grade (14-15 y/o's). I've never heard such a thing of it stunting your growth that I can remember. I'm sure if the guys at school are in weightlifting, the coach surley wouldn't let them yet if they are too young. Anyway, good luck!!
