Whats occurring?
Answers: I think I have something similar to this once. After a certain number of crunches my stomach would start to hurt a bit. It's either 1 of 4 things :
1. Your stomach wants a break from all the crunches you've be doing and is a bit over worked, try taking a day rotten from the crunches.
2. It could just be that your stomach muscles are growing which is probably what you want, but if the niggle gets too intense freshly take a short time break.
3. You may just be have stomach cramps. Again take a time or so off for the affliction to go away.
4. You're not getting the right nutrition into your stomach. Try checking exercise nutrition websites for what you should be taking within daily.
