Would i lose weight?

im trying to stop drink pop cuz i do a lot of gymnastics, but everyone says i shouldnt stop cuz im already to skinny. would i lose weight if i stoped for a few weeks. how much? and im 13, 5'3 and 90 lbs.

it all depends on what else your daily diet consists . honestly if i were you i would stop becuz that is really skinny and your going to end up looking anorexic or something. and if think ur fat u need to get some help
You could or could not lose. It really depends on your body mode. You can replace soda with juices and other drinks like iced coffee or iced cocoa.

i do gymnastics too you would probably lose a little weight because you're burning off a lot of the calories from the soda and other things too because gymnastics requires lots of exercise but you will lose weight and more weight from muscle mass.
I'm the same as you except I'm 124lbs! OMG! I'm not even fat! girl, you need to gain some pounds! Someone who is 5'3" should be around 115lbs. as an average (100lbs. at 5' and five pounds for each inch after that). Please don't lose any more weight. Of course you should try to eat healthier anyway and excercise like you already do, just don't skip meals or anything! ;P *goodluck*

If you look at growth charts a person who is 5'3 should weigh anywhere from 115-135.

Besides that-you're 90 pounds-why would you WANT to lose weight?
u r skinny. but u don't sound malnourished.

it seems like u r skinny because gymnastics is a calorie burning exercise. if u want to have a soda pop once in a while but as u get older it is good to stop.

if ppl tell u that ur skinny, then eat more food. have whole milk and eat cheeses.

the good reason to quit soda pop is they are empty calories. what des that mean? it means soda pop does not have any nutritional value. if u are going to consume calories then eat something which has vitamins, protein, calcium.
if u are having 2 cans of regular coke or pepsi a day and u stopped, in 2 weeks ud lose more than 1 pound, easy.

for gymnastics, u need plenty of calcium.
water beats sodapop anyday.

it would be nice if ur weight was more than 100 pounds for ur height.

when i was 13 or 14 and taller than the kids around me and i was thin, i actually felt thinner and ppl told me i would look less thin if i was shorter.
you might lose a couple of pounds, depending on how much pop u drink a day. if its very little, like a cup every two days, or something, theres no need to cut down. but its ok on occasion, but not like three cups a day.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%.

Chew each morsel at least 32 times. Do not touch articles of food or the cutlery in between. This will activate ur body to generate strong signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.

Take light exercises and brisk walks (minimum 20 min duration) regularly preferably twice a day.

U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. It is however to be noted that one cannot change the shape or size of different parts of the body.
OK. If I am understanding you correctly you are worried about losing the weight if you stop drinking pop. In that case I would not worry about it if you are, for the most part, eating healthy and your diet does not mainly consist of pops. If you diet does consist mainly of pops, like mine did when I was 13, then I suggest that when you stop drinking the pops then you need to replace the calories lost with healthy calories. And don't let anyone on here let you believe you are underweight. You are 13 and you have not fully developed. When I was 13 I was 5'3,and still am, and I could barely stay at 100 lbs and never got above it and I ate. I could eat enough to feed two 2 people (technically about 4-6 serving sizes) a meal, and people thought my mom did not feed me. The ups and downs of youth. Your metabolism is so fast that it can truly burn what ever you eat in no time. I gradually gained 10 lbs a year until I was fully developed and then I leveled off at 120 lbs until I had my baby 2 years ago.
