Protein cannot mix with Creatine OR NO3 ?
Question:
Answers:
There's a product called Cyclone by Maximuscle (http://www.maximuscle.com/cyclone?tc=gbc... which contains both creatine and protein, and it mixes really easily, so I don't think there's much truth in your statement!
it can mix together. it is best if you take your creatine first than 20 minutes later take your protein.
The simple answer to this is yes.
Ensure that your caffeine levels are low as we have found that mixing Caffeine and Creatine together has shown to block the absorption of Creatine.
Creatine can be found in many forms. Muscle contains approximately 0.5% creatine by weight, although some of this will be degraded by cooking. Commercial supplements are also available. It has been suggested that human muscle has a maximum capacity of roughly 150 mmol creatine/kg muscle, making supplementation in excess of 20g/day pointless.
Energy Effect
A number of studies have examined the effect of creatine supplementation on performance. The consensus appears to be that, while not increasing peak force production, creatine can increase the amount of work done (8%) in the first few short duration, maximal effort trials. The mechanism of this enhancement is not yet clearly documented, but is most likely by increasing the available PCr pool.
Your question Can I take Creatine and Protein at the same time? The following should dispell any douts you have
A: Firstly, protein is a food product. If you couldn't take creatine and protein at the same time, then you would have to be a strict vegetarian and still you would end out consuming around 40 grams a day just from normal foods. To top this off, creatine is not much use without a significant protein intake. What is the point of pushing your muscles further than they are used to, if you are not going to provide the amino acids necessary for their repair?
Q: Which supplement is Better Creatine or Protein?
A: ( I get asked this question on a regular basis) Amino acids are the building blocks of our muscles. If you do not get enough than there is no point to working out. Creatine is an outstanding supplement, but if you have to choose from getting at least 1 gram a day of protein or getting your creatine then opt for the protein. However I do want to stress that creatine is an excellent supplement. In fact for assistance in muscular gains I would rate it second only to whey Protein.
If you are also Using NO3 on training days only. You may take your directed number of tablets with 8-12 oz. of water or beverage of your choice 30 minutes prior to your workout (on an empty stomach). For best results avoid eating a meals of drinking a protein shake within an hour of taking NO3.
