Weight loss?
Question:
Oh, and I'm a vegetarian, so I'm not eating greasy burgers, etc. I'm also not in starvation mode (I'm a former anorexic, I know).
Answers:
build muscle. it'll take your extra fat.(fat that didn't get burn)
i don't exactly remember how.
drink lots of water.
workout.
eat healthy.
eat slowly, because it takes awhile for food to digest, so
it takes awhile to be full after eating.
eating slowly will allow you to know when you're full to eat less.
don't sit in front of the tv while eating.
do aerobic exercises
do 2 30min then have a 20 min break you'll lose more wight than not taking breaks at all
starving will get you skinnier but at the end of it when you eat normally again your body will be saving it,
like bears saving their food for the winter.
While exercise helps to burn calories, you may be also building muscle which weighs more than fat. Measure your waistline rather than look at the scale. If you keep it up on a regular basis, the jiggle, maybe more than the pounds will start to disappear.
To a very high degree, you should weigh as much as you feel happy with weighing.
As far as a "healthy weight", that's what most of the other posts are about (calculating your BMI, diet plans, etc). but most people will say what the "average" is according to different opinions.
As long as you are at a weight where you are healthy, the most important part is that you are HAPPY with your weight... not that you "should be X pounds", but that no matter what you weigh, you are happy with that instead of striving to be a size 2 or something like that
That being said, if you want to lose weight, exercise is a really good (and safe) way to lose weight. In addition to that, I would recommend meeting with a nutritionist or dietitian to see if there is something else that may benefit you more.
It also sounds like you probably built up a lot of muscle dancing that much... and muscle is heavier than fat, so you probably lost a couple pounds of fat and replaced it with a couple pounds of muscle.
Something isn't making sense; seems like you should be losing at least some weight. You actually have to eat more to lose weight, but your calorie counts sound fine for weight loss; are you being honest in the foods you eat? Keep a daily food journal to see what is happening. At that weight and calorie you should be losing. It's easier for some people that a bit overweight to lose weight than someone who weighs less and only has 5 lbs to lose. Muscle does weight more than fat, but you should be losing at least a little. :)
First of all do not compare yourself with your fiance. Everybody has different metabolism. You did not mention for how long have you been working out with these placebos. Don't give up. May be this is just the point when you would actually start losing your weight. As far as diet is concerned, I presume that you might have consulted a dieticien. From what I have heard dieting is not the panacea to weight loss. You may also resort to Yoga, which would be helpful both for your mental and physical health.
I've lost 30 ponds in three weeks and my friend lost 20 pounds in two weeks. It's a new and effective way to lose weight:

Weight loss is a VERY simple solution: Calories in, calories out.
If you take in more calories than go out, you WILL gain fat. If you take in less calories than go out, you WILL lost fat. If you take in the same number that go out, you WILL stay the same.
I went to the movies last night... I was very intrigued as to what I saw. First, there was a five ten-person lines for food and drink. To even be IN the movies, without food and drink, is unhealthy because you just sit and don't do anything.
Next, I see a ten person line for BUTTER! People are obsessed with weight loss, yet MUST put butter on their 100 gram fat popcorn. POPCORN by ITSELF, is incredibly fatty (up to 100 grams for a medium) , yet people MAKE the decision to feed FAT into their body... Well, I'm sorry to say, there is NO way to lose that fat without excersing or burning the calories off somehow... If there WAS A WAY, we'd ALL be doing it... And there would NOT be gyms in America! My last incredible scene was that I saw a family, they were about average size, a mother, a father, a grandpa. two teens, and one kid (10 yrs) and one post-toddler (4-5 yrs.) They were also in line for butter!! Each one had a medium popcorn (even the TODDLER!!!) and they ALL smuthered their pocprn with LARD> What an example to give the young toddler--That's all I can say...
Btw, you CAN eat greasy burgers or buttered popcorn, if you BURN it off... Go to a gym and there are MANY options to figure it out... Just don't eat the burger every night... Like once every two weeks is PERFECTLY fine!
