Pain is a warning sign from your muscles that they have been over taxed, rest them from serious exercise for a day, but GENTLY stretch them in slow movements, otherwise they WILL go back to their old stiff state. make sure you take in lots of water to keep them hydrated too, because dehydration will contribute to the soreness.
no keep going just hae abath before bed.. it will all be worth it in the end. well done
NO, if you do not do some form of physical activity the day after exercising (like take a walk), the lactic acid will build up and you will be hella sore day 2. But you do need a rest from weightlifting if that is what you are doing.
You can continue working out, but try working out a different muscle group the next time you are in the gym. It is beneficial to give your muscles rest. Stretching is good. You don't have to wait until the soreness goes away completely, but it is good to wait a day or 2 before working out the muscle group that is sore. The next time you workout that group, you won't be as sore. Then when you get to the point when you're not sore anymore, it's time to change up your routine as your body has gotten used to what you are doing.
Real Quick:
*One day is not enough if you are serious about weight-lifting. If you've worked this particular muscle to the point that it has become sore, well done. Your muscles will respond to this and grow stronger and thus bigger, BUT only if you allow them.
*After working a specific muscle group, one should wait 2-3 days before concentraiting on this muscle again. If your muscles are still extremely sore by then, obviously they may need a little longer. Muscles must rest for an adequite amount of time to grow. IN FACT! - working them out too soon again will hinder the process - nott cool
-But that doesn't mean wait a week before you work that muscle again... I've got much more info and no time... hope that helps
