Are there any true stories of someone being overweight as a kid but then became fit when they got older?

Question:
I've seen it in movies where they were picked on as a kid then they got older and they're all like buff or just pretty fit.Well After I saw the 3rd austin powers movie I thought well wouldn't they get extra skin and get all flabby like Fat Bastard from austin powers?(I'm referring to the 3rd movie in the end when he lost all that weight).

Answers:
Yes, this kid I was in high school with had been REALLY fat in grade school. He slimmed down a little in junior high then lost even more in high school.
richard simmons? is bell south working?
ever watch maury? he has people all the time who want to confront their bullies from school because now they're buff
I know at least 3 people who were fat in school and got fit. It takes alot of work but its possible.
Not necessarily. People who are especially large (300+ pounds) do have that issue if they get liposuction or a gastric bypass, so they need additional surgury. But people who lose weight naturally by dieting and exercising don't have that problem, because their skin likewise naturally "shrinks" as they go. It takes a long time to lose that much weight doing it the hard way.

By mom was extremely overweight as a kid, but she managed to trim herself down to 124 pounds by the time she was in college. So, yes, it's quite common. I've been overweight for most of my life, too, except for a period in high school where I was about a size 10 for a while (and for my large frame, that's small!). Unfortunately, I gained it all back in a couple of years, and now I'm working it off again -- hopefully, this time, for good.
This does happen, the true story I mean. If one loses hundreds of pounds, like Fat Bastard, then yes they would have extra skin. However, you usually do not grow up and lose hundreds of pounds, you just go from being a chubby kid to a fit adult.
ryan seacrest.
he was an overweight kid and now look at him!
children's skin is much more flexible. it can grow and stretch especially during growth spurts.

heard of jerry o'connell? he was in stand by me-- he was the fat kid. now he's fine!
One of my best friend's brothers was fat as a child and is tall and thin as an adult.
I think that if you lose weight earlier in life, your skin is much more resilient to bounce back and not be flabby. Also if you lose it slower.
Think about pregnant women. You see a "star" who has been pregnant and they still have an awesome figure after they give birth. Their skin has gone back to normal.
Nope. They all just die of heart attacks at age 13.
