Calories to maintain my weight?
Question:
i've lost 50 pounds over the past 8 months, and i now want to maintain my weight but the scale keeps going down. how many calories do i need to stop my weight loss and maintain my current weight? im fairly active .. i get about an hour of exercise most days.
Answers:
I'd say 2000, but you may want to play with the numbers. If you gain weight at 2000, drop to 1800, but if you continue to lose weight, raise up to 2200, etc.
If you're satisfied at this weight than keep up the exercise, but try adding another small item to your breakfast and lunch...like a banana or a piece of toast with jelly. Keep drinking around 2 liters of water a day.
Eat only when hungry and not more than thrice a day. Nothing other than water in between. Include plenty of uncooked vegetables and fruits in each meal, preferably 50%.
Chew each morsel at least 32 times. Do not touch articles of food or the cutlery in between. This will activate ur body to generate strong signals of hunger/fullness. Obey these signals.
Take light exercises and brisk walks (minimum 20 min duration) regularly preferably twice a day.
U will achieve what u have not even dreamt and that too in a reasonable time. Do not be in a hurry. It is however to be noted that one cannot change the shape or size of different parts of the body.
