What are some good exercises for the hip/butt/thigh area?

the upper thigh part is what i would like to work out the most but that whole region could use a tone up but...

i really hate squats and lunges. it becomes a balancing act and it's just not fun but if they're the only thing that works i guess i'm stuck. please tell me something new 8)

try pleas like the balarina stance, um lay on the ground and put like 3 pillows under your lower back put your shoulders to the ground and pick your legs slowly up and down in the air, it doesnt matter if your knees are bent just as long as they stay in the air and you must feel the pull at all times or its not doing didly
