Weight gain, Eating disorder and diet?
Question:
Im 15, I weight 185 im about 5''11. I have been dieting for the last 4-5 months and i lost 40 pounds at my lowest{180}. My diet consisted of Dieting,Throwing up,Dieting, throwing up, the occasional workout session and lots of abuse on my body. I successfully lost 40 pounds by counting calories religiously and eating the right food. Though, im 15 and im afraid to eat a taco from taco bell? Or a Cheese Burger from Mcdonals? My friends go to Mcdonals and taco bell all of the time and i feel kind of left out when i refuse to go with them and stick to my fruit and granola bars. I want to be part of the group and go with them to get something tastey that i want. Then again, i think what do i want, The ideal body? Or 30 minutes of chewing satisfaction with my friends. I almost always lean to the idela body, sometimes i don't, thats when i start making myself throw up.Is there anyway i can eat with myfriendsandloose?
Answers:
Don't play with this. you are still very young and need to learn how to feed your body to be healthy for a lifetime.
Work with a real nutritionist and a Dr. to make sure you do not have a thyroid problem.
Eat to live not live to eat. It may not seem fair right now, but things will change in time.
Work with a nutritionist to determine what type of diet you should be to reach your ideal weight. One more thing, throwing up is never the answer, it can create so many more problems down the road it is not even funny,
Manny athletic clubs have groups that work with kids that have weight issues too little or too much.
Get with the right people to establish the goals you need for your life.
A diet is not something you do for a short period of time: it is how you eat for the rest of your life to maintain weight stress, blood pressure, blood sugar, and even cholesterol.
Stay healthy live long.

I have been eating 700 cals a day and I lost 20 pounds real quick..I eat mc donalds but i also exercise. Email me if you want some tips..Also I have anorexia..so maybe you shouldnt
You have an extremely complex problem. Please seek help. It is not hopeless, you can achieve everything you want, but the bulimia needs to be addressed. Good Luck
i had anorexia and was eating 700 calories a day but i got to skinny i was a 14 year old weighing 65 pounds but i went to therapy and now im back at 88 but i don't like my belly i haven't eaten fast food since january im still afraid of getting fat but if you want to be with your freinds you could take your own food to the McDonalds or Taco Bell or you can get fresco style from taco bell they have less calories
Working out is key.
im anaorexic...
but you could try being vegan.
but everyones different you have to understand that your never going to be like your friends...i would love to be 5'11 im only 5'9.
as long as you love your body...thats all that matters
Stop throwing up. You can develop cancer. What good is it to have a skinny body on the outside, if its rotten on the inside. Begin to add fiber to your diet and drink at least 8 glasses of water per day. Tell your friends how unhealthy and toxic the food they are eating is. You are doing them a big favor and they will thank you and remember you 20yrs from now. Respect your body and teach others to respect theirs.
yes there is i used to weigh 120 then i had a baby when i delivered i weighed 250 then in the next 18 months went to 278 in April i gave up soda and junk food i am now 220 so in less than 4 months i lost 58 lbs just by taking a little walk with my daughter every evening and drinking lots of propel water but i can still eat out just have a grilled chicken sandwich or salad and a small fry as even if u had a burger or taco u deserve to treat yourself sometimes just not everyday don't give up the weight never goes away as fast as it came good job on what you have lost and be proud of yourself for trying now the older u get the harder it is
First of all, throwing up or purging is a dumb way to lose weight. I had weight issues myself when I was a teen...and yes, it was difficult to hang out with friends at restaurants. I am a vegan now and know very few vegetarians and even less vegans. So, in a way, I understand your struggles with wanting to hang out with people who are eating what you don't want to. I can offer this - eat a healthy meal before you meet up with your friends or take along healthy snacks. You might even want to take along extra snacks and offer them to your friends as alternatives to the nasty, greasy (not to mention unethical) foods offered at fast food places. Also, you might find that eating at Taco Bell can have reduced calories/fat by ordering bean burritos w/o the cheese. I think they still have "fresco style" on the menu too in an attempt to offer healthier foods. Take a bottle of water along if you can to avoid the soda machines...or try some of the soda water with a splash of lemonade or sprite. I think the best way to lose weight is to eat small doses of healthy foods throughout the day and to exercise regularly. If you are honest with your friends about why you don't eat some foods I am sure they will support you in your efforts. Good luck and please, stay away from bingeing/purging!
