Is there fast weight loss? Yes and no. Well the first and most important thing to do is to prepare yourself mentally. If you're not ready mentally it won't matter. I think most people underestimate this part of the game.
I lost fifty pounds in six months doing the following.
1. Prepared myself mentally
2. Got a good appetite supressant for those first few months which helps to curb your eating. I googled what I used for the link

3. Cut your calories by 500 per day.
4. Exercise whether walking or running etc.
Don't starve yourself though that's the worse thing you can do, and you won't last.
Of course you can lose weight quickly. The real question is, will you lose the KIND of weight you want to.
Most people believe that when they diet or do cardio, that they will automatically lose fat weight. The fact of the matter is, most of the weight that you will lose intially is water weight, and can fluctuated from day to day under ordinary circumstances.
The problem with crash-dieting, or fad-dieting is that, while you will lose weight initially, your metabolism has to slow down to match your new decreased caloric intake. Once you decide to eat "normally" again you will quickly gain the weight back, PLUS some, because your metabolism is slower than before.
The only real way to lose weight and KEEP IT OFF, is to do three things in unison. You must eat less fat, and clean up the food that you eat. You must do cardio-vascular training, because you only burn fat for energy in the prescence of oxygen. And you must work-out, because the more muscle you have, the more calories you burn...even at rest. This is the true way to improve your "basal metabolic rate," or your everyday metabolism.
So, if you want to lose 10 pounds quickly, make it a point to reduce your sugar intake. Drink more water, and do at least 20 minutes of strenuous cardio work at least 3 times per week. And do at least 30 minutes of resistance training 3 times per week. THIS DOESN'T MEAN YOU HAVE TO JOIN A GYM. Start with body-weight exercises like push-ups, sit-ups, lunges, etc., for three sets of 15 each.
I hope this helps!
