Eating advice?


Question:
i need advice...i am an 18 yr old girl, average weight and overall healthy.but i really wanna eat healthy.but it's hard b/c i don't like many healthy foods besides carrots and, well, most fruits.i also am vegetarian.so please, if you have any, give me advice on how to eat healthier.i do exercise almost every day for at least an hour.i also love baked goods, but i know they are "bad".thanks!

the be at your healthiest 70% of your diet should come from a wide variety of fruits and vegetable. if you are not eating vegetables, you are not getting the nutrition you need to survive, heal and repair your body. especially if you are vegetarian. the human species needs meat. it needs the protien and minerals that meat supplies. Also, exercise only every other day and keep moderately active the rest of the time.
You can try getting fruits in your diet by drinking a low fat smoothie, made with skim milk ice and berries or something. Honestly if you are working out everyday, there shouldn't be a problem with anything you are eating. It's somewhat difficult to give you suggestions as you don't like to eat fruits and vegetables, and you are vegetarian.
See site below and see how fruits that you like are the healthiest foods so eat lots of them. It also has a link to a picture of a fruitarian bodybuilder who has only eaten fruit for a long time.

I am not saying do not eat anything else but make fruits most of your diet. You have to hunt for a vegetable you like and gather it. Go to an Indian restaurant which has great tasting veggie dishes.

Try making brown basmati rice which smells like popcorn. Eat it with beans (don't you like any beans- like adzuki beans) or an Indian dish in a packet (Tasty Bite or Trader Joes).
I am also vegetarian and into healthy food. But just plain veggies don't cut it for me. I like things like black beans and rice with a home made cilantro tomato salsa with either chips or in a burrito. I also like to make my own healthy pizzas with all kinds of grilled veggies. I like grilled veggie sandwiches with sower cream dill dip and I use Bragg liquid amino's on all veggies and tofu. I make tofu sauteed in this Bragg with a little pepper and then cut up red yellow or green bell peppers and carrots zukine tomatoes what ever you like and wrap in a flat bread. Read the higher taste cook book you can get on line at krishnaculture.com and other wonderful cookbooks by Kurma They are very easy to follow vegetarian recipes with pictures. write me for other recipes. Vegetarian is really knowing how to eat right. You just have to know what and how to cook.
