What type of ab exercises do I do to get the ones at the hip?

Question:
You know the ones like Usher that make the girls go crazy. I have been doing a million types of ab workouts but I'm just not seeing any kind of results. I also have the fat gene which I unfortunately inherited from my dad... so my metabolism isn't that high and I tend to gain unwanted weight if I don't work out for 2 days.

Answers:
ab exercises wont work..you need to start eating healthy (NO JUNK FOOD) and doing cardio exercises up to 5 times a week.

if you are in shape and can handle intense cardio work outs, try sprinting, if not, you may want to jog or walk for 40-60 minutes a day, 5 days a week (walking will burn the least amount of fat as it requires low intensity).

basically, you want to burn that fat first, then work your abs...if you have fat covering your abs, then ab exercises wont do squat.
First... abs do not appear just from doing situps, crunches, etc. You first must eliminate the fat. Then, abs like any muscle, must be built and developed. Try performing walking lunges with dumbbells. A great ab exercise is also to sit indian-style, keep your legs folded but lay on your back and do crunches... this not only works the main abs but also your sides and you will feel it there when doing those. I also recommend looking in to your diet... protein is essential for abs or any muscle definition. I drink whey protein shakes and they give you all the protein you need.
