Muscle question.?

Question:
My friend works out his biceps everday. I workout mine twice a week. Who's going to have bigger, stronger biceps?

Answers:
Training one muscle every single day is a very bad idea, in fact his muscles could get smaller!! When you work out you are breaking down your muscle fibers, when you rest the fibers rebuild themselves a little bigger and a little stronger. You grow outside of the gym, more rest=more results.

You are, if you are using heavy weight with proper form. He is over training them.
it depends on genetics. for the avergae person i would say training twice a week would have bigger biceps. you should really give your biceps at least 5 days of rest.
You are, he's over training his. As a matter of fact, i wouldn't be surprised if he lost weight.
That's not a question that can be answered on the basis of how often you work them out. A lot of other factors go into it...diet...supplementation... But for a short answer, I have always preferred no more than twice a week for any muscle, even small ones like biceps, triceps and calves. Other guys will tell you that the small groups can be worked 4 or 5 times a week. Personally I don't buy it. I think the muscles all need at least a day or two to rest. The muscles actually do their growing during your rest time. So if you never give them any time to rest, all you're going to have is sore arms.
