Does constipation cause weight gain? Sorry Gross!!?

How long does it take you to become constipated and any suggestions to help you "flow again" . eww I'm sorry that this question is nasty

You should eat natural fibers like lettuce, wheat, bread--and this will make you more regular. You definitley will retain weight if you are constipated. Sometimes if I am constipated I will drink a small amount of Soda and it will make me feel better. I don't know how much it actually helps but I just know it helped me. Also if you are constipated stay away from dairy.
hhaha no but if you are on a regular "flow" you can feel better, and lose water weight. so essentially you can "lose" weight if you are regular, but if youre retaining all that crap (no pun intended) you are going to retain weight...but not actual fat.
Constipation can cause weight gain if the fecal matter is not released. Constipation takes a day or more I suppose. DO NOT TAKE LAXATIVES OR STOOL SOFTENERS. Please do not even take the chance of using them because if you start using those to help you go rather than high fiber foods such as lettuce and oatmeal then your body could become dependant on them. If you wanted too and had some free time you could use herbal supplements such as "The Ultimate Cleanse" to cleanse your body of fecal matter. Which some poeple have 10-15 pounds worth in their body!
Yes, it will also lead to a very slow metabolism which in turn will not burn up calories that you eat, high fiber foods such as bananas and bran cereals in the morning will increase your regularity and help high your metabolism, it must be regular though and yes I'm sorry I am going to say it, excises helps too.
