firstly, why should people make fun of you!?? You have a healthy weight and you should be proud.
Now, dont try to lose weight drastically-trsut me it will come right back on you! they say a healthy weight loss is 2 lbs per week. I think you can do 4 lbs a week and still be healthy.
The BEST way to lose weight is keep a food diary!! write down EVERYTHING you eat, from 2 sips of coke to bites of brownies.
When you see all the junk that goes into your body, you will automaticall feel bad and cut back!!
There is low impact aerobics that you can do that wont affect your asthma that much. even bicycle riding will burn fat, and of course a low fat diet is essential.
It especially depends on how tall u are... U've got to mesure your BMI. I kinda have the same problem but I swim alot so it works but since you have asthma, it's a bit harder... Theres some suggestions on this site: http://www.phifoundation.org/

im 5'4 and way 10 pounds more than you,and i know how it feels.If a person makes fun of you just tell them off! And say i don't live to please you also you can always go like deal with it, its not going anywhere.im on a diet it too,i mess up allot by eating the junk food.So i became serious and i do about 100 situps in the morning 50 stop and rest then back to it,and the afternoon and the night.You can do more,Eventually you get better.Try to walk more often and if you stop at mcdonalds with your family or something,Just get water 1 hamburger is like 500 calories. ahh!!also do pushups 20 a day.!! you'll see better results :] GOOOD luck! eatt healthyy too
I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.

Keep to a 1,200 food intake
Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) ...and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn't seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.
