Weight watchers won't put anyone in your house at night to stop you from snacking. I suspect that there are things to do, but you just don't want to do them. You can try doing them to keep yourself busy, and you can stock up on healthy snacks like fruits, raw vegetables, etc. But only you can prevent snacking!
I f you get an urge to eat chocolate, DON'T, eat some sugar free jello. It's a free food.
In my opinion, since you are a woman and have more intestinal fortitude than most men you can help yourself by teaching yourself that you have what it takes to remain young and beautiful well past middle age. All you have to do is cut out as much red meat and pork as possible. Stop eating junk foods that contain extra salts or sugars. Stop drinking sodas(regular soda contains 12 teaspoons of sugar and diet contains no sugar just chemical that screw up your internal bodies' system. Eat more fresh vegetables either raw in salads or stir-fried with tofu in extra virgin olive oil or steamed to get all-natural flavor and all natural salts to come out to entice your taste buds. Eat organic fruits when you can get them for snacks. Drink organic fruit juices and drink at least 6 to 8 bottles of pure water every day. Walk. Walk at least two miles every day after school or work. Do this for thirty days. You will find you have lost up to thirty pounds and turned the rest of the flab to toned muscle. You will have more energy, more stamina, more vitality and more mental acuity than you ever thought possible. Do this for the rest of your life and you will look and feel better than almost everyone around you until well past middle age. Your friends will be asking you what you are taking as an anti-aging stopper. Enjoy a great and healthy life, YOU can do this!
You could join weight watchers but you will have to attend weekly meeting, paying £4.95 week to lose weight. Yes they can advise you on healthy eating. They run weekly meetings after the weigh ins for dedicated people to stay.
But are you really that dedicated. They won't be there at night to tell you to stop eating chocolate.
You could really try yourself.
Following a diet of low fat foods.
Including lean meats, fish, vegetables, fresh fruit, pasta, brown rice, non sugary cereals, low fat dairy products.
Cut out biscuits, sweets, cakes, crisps, chocolate and ready made processed meals.
Junk food, fizzy drinks. All of which are full of saturated fat and sugar and pile on the unwanted fat.Cutting all of these out will bring your weight down steadily.
In the evening you could fill up on non sugary cereals with fresh fruit and low fat yogurt.
In moderation you can treat yourself to chocolate not eating a whole bar, but one or two pieces a couple of times a week. You only put your food into your mouth which you control yourself. At the end of the day it's all down to you.
Good luck
Hi,
At your age I don't think you need weightwatchers, your not overweight and you don't need to condition yourself to think you need to lose weight.
although weightwatchers is very good, in your case you just need to educate yourself a bit about food, a good place to start would be with a gi diet book this will show you how different foods have an effect on our bodies, you learn how to replace chocolate for a healthier option like fruits which is natures sugar, you can still eat chocolate don't get me wrong but you'll know why you should limit it to once a week when you start reading a G.I diet book.
