What kind of vegetables are good for you to eat?

Question:
I mean seriously. I was thinking about only eating fruits but this guy who answered gave a good point. So I'll eat vegetables.. But what kind? Carrots? Broccolli? Don't answer and say "every vegetable is good for you". I want the names of them.

Answers:
Broccoli is the vegetable on almost every type of diet. It is good raw or cooked.

Carrots, spinach, celery, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, etc. are all good--yams (sweet potatoes) are also good for you.

If you're not nuts about vegetables, try drinking V8 juice. A very small can is a full serving of vegetables. If you like tomato juice, you'll like V8. You can add lemon to it, salt, pepper, even a celery stick.

Sorry, but all vegetables ARE good for you!

This chart has various ones listed, with nutritional values for each type: http://www.healthalternatives2000.com/ve...

You really can't go wrong with any of them, and they are definitely important to eat. You can't get all the vitamins and fiber you need just from eating fruits. Veggies have a whole lotta other good stuff to offer you. Enjoy them!
I heard that cabbage and brocolli are extremely good for you. I heard that all the green ones are the best for you.
Non-starchy veggies are best, broccoli, green beans, cabbage lettuce, tomatoes, asparagus, soy beans(in moderation), carrots, bell peppers, some squash, eggplant, radishes, onions, celery, etc.
V8 Juice Look on the can or bottle.
Zuchinni, cabbage, salad greens, green beans, wax beans, broccoli, cauliflower are good if you are trying to lose weight. Good carb veggies would be potatoes, carrots, corn, beets, lima beans, and peas, etc.
Green vegetables are the best to have. Broccoli espically.
For your eyes: carrots.
For overall health: broccoli, cauliflower, onions, garlic.
For keeping people you don't like away from you: onions & garlic.
For fiber: yams, celery.
For carbohydrates: potatoes.
For Vitamin C: tomatoes (they're a fruit).
For decoration: parsley, chives.
"Don't answer and say "every vegetable is good for you"."

Hate to tell you, but every vegetable IS good for you. What you have to do is find ones that you like. Each veggie has it's own benefit, weather it's a certain vitamin, fiber, whatever. There really is no bad vegetable. Personally my favorite is corn, although some people will tell you it's more a starch than a veggie. I also like carrots, bell peppers and snap peas (which are great with a little bit of salt and butter sprinkled with parmesan cheese). You just have to decide what your tastes are.
Well vegetables are good for you! You don't want to only eat vegetables though. You need protien to keep you full and dairy products provide calcium, although If you are very careful to eat the right vegtables you can get calcium.
Raw veggies are the best because the nutrients can be cooked out.
eat a variety- different colors are known for signifying different nutrients! Orange- beta carotene Dark green- calcium and so on
a good rule of thumb is the darker the vegetable the more nutrients!
congrats on trying to lead a healthy life, but you may want to do a lot more research before going all veggies. I'm a vegetarian, but I eat nuts for protien and bread for more carbs. Good luck and please diet safely!!!!!
Broccolli and asparagus are definitely very good and low in carbohydrates. It all depends which ones you like. You can't go wrong with anything that you choose. Take a look at this link. It will also tell you the difference between frozen, canned, and fresh.

Different veggies give different benefits. To truly get all the health benefits, you should eat all veggies. However, since you want a list, refer to the links I have included and you will find a wealth of information. A good key to remember is: the brighter/richer the color of the fruit/veggie, the more nutrients it has in it.

Besides nutrition content, eating your fruits and veggies has other benefits as well:
~Since most fruit/veggies are high in fiber, constipation and water retention are rarely an issue.
~Natural weight management (fresh fruit as opposed to ice cream for dessert)
~Healthier teeth and gums
~Better digestion and absorption of nutrients in meats
It's true most all veggies are good for you, depending on what you are looking for. Carbohydrates and starches, corn
Starches and iron, green peas and beets
Vitamin A and B's most all green veggies
Vitamin A And beta carotene, orange and yellow veggies.
But keep in mind everyone needs some protein even vegetarians. So add some dry beans in your diet as well.
