Diets which are high in sugars or other sweeteners are generally not a good idea. There have been a number of HFCS studies done which are somewhat ambiguous in their conclusions, but in general, moderate what you eat and it shouldn't be a problem. too much of anything is bad for you. eat your bars. just dont eat to many. 1-2 a day is enough.
When you eat healthy calories your body recognizes them. When you eat high fructose corn syrup your brain does not recognize the calories as food. As a result of this your body wants to keep eating. So, foods with high fructose corn syrup dont satisfy your body, and you end up eating more. But eating a little is fine. It's in a lot of foods. Its hard to avoid it all together.
it's chemically altered
with out getting too scientific HFCS wreks havoc on blood lipid levels. which increases the health risks associated with coronary heart disease and other such ailments.
