Answers:
i tottally think u should it changes peoples lives and if she isnt going to do it for herself do it for her make the video really personal because thats what the show looks for!good luck : )
she might be pissed
Not if she doesn't agree to it.
She HAS to be committed to something like that!
I would only do this if your MOM wants to do it, and it sounds like she doesn't. But you're clearly very concerned for her health, and I think you should sit her down and tell her exactly what you just told us.
Then you might try helping her -- start helping make dinner every night and try to make things that are healthier and lower in fat than usual. Encourage her to go for a walk with you in the evenings instead of watching TV, or maybe do some other active activity together (like, playing in the backyard, doing gardening together, dancing to music in the living room, etc.). There are lots of ways you can try to support your mom while she struggles to lose weight, and most of them will benefit YOU as well.
Good luck and good for you for caring so much about your mom!
go for it! just make sure she knows your doing it
Do it, its for her own good!
if you want the best for your mom i think you should do anything for her
I understand your concern for your Mom. When people reach a certain age their metabolism does change and it's harder to lose weight. Plus some heart and diabetes medications do make a person fat. IF she can cut her food intake to 800 calories for a few days per month, and at all other times drink only water and only a couple cups of water a day, cut down on her salt intake (which makes her hold water and water is heavy weight), she should be able to drop 12 pounds fairly quickly, even with very little exercise. Too much liquid increases the blood pressure. And, a 10 pound loss is a drop in one dress size. Chromium picolonate (pill form) does quicken the metabolism. She could ask her doctor if she could take that. You need to know that losing weight will help her get off the pills she's taking now. That in itself should be enough to encourage her to lose a little weight.
