What is the minimum amount of calories that a person MUST have every day?
Question:
Answers:
various on the size etc of the person. the average male needs about 2000 calories a day for the running of their various bodily functions. women perhaps around 1500 a day. add 500 on (presumed for the walking and general excersize) and you have the guideline calorie intakes for males and females respectively.
obviously, less calories means the body will have to burn fat for its energy, which is how we lose weight. whether it be by eating less or excersizing more! I would reccomend excersize on top of at minimum 1500 calories a day for a femals or 2000 for a male, to lose weight. more than that can cause issues, and for reasons i cant be bothered to explain, less food may well mean more fat stockpiling anyway.

the average to have is about 1800, anything under 1200 will put your body into starvation mode
They say even people trying to lose weight should not drop below 1200. 1000 at the VERY minimum.
it depends on your age, sex, weight, height, body structure, activity, etc. talk to a dr because every website will say a different thing
i have about 1200 a day. but it also depends on how active the person is. if they are very active then they will need more.
600
