You probably are sore because you overdid it. Your body isn't used to working out so you should take it easy for a while untill your body fully adjusts.
Feel the burn. Thats how it's supposed to feel.
Stretch your mussels before, during and after exercising.
put some ice on it. If anything do not soak yourself in hot water. The ice helps your muscles relax. If you do not have ice packages. Use frozen veggies.!
get a massage.

icy hot works wonders
also any heat will help with the soreness of your muscles.
also just give them a day or two to get used to the workout
rice bags help; what they are is a cloth bag, not a purse, and you fill it with rice, it holds heat better than cold, but you heat it up put it on your sore muscles than put ice on them, sorta like a homemade icey hot patch. but you should also stretch before you go back to the gym
You should continue with your work out plan with less intensity. You may take ibuprofen.
You are sore from lactic acid build up. Hydration will help flush it but when you first start to work out, that is normal. A once you get into the rutine, you won't have it as often.
