Weight Gaining Problem?

Question:
So far, I have been trying to gain weight so I can gain body mass. I have been setting my alarm for 2 hrs and whenever it goes off I go and eat something healthy. I have also been working out and lifting weights. But recently I have noticed that It feels like im gaining all of my weight at my stomach and not evening out around my full body like I want it to. I have been under weight and skinny for my whole life. But now since I wanna do something about it, It seems like I can only make my chest fatter and not my legs and arms.

Is there something I should be doing to even out my weight that im gaining?

Answers:
Drink protein shakes after each meal. It will aid in building muscles.. not fat.
In order to gain the weight, you need to fuel your body properly. 60% complex carbs (whole grains), 20% high quality protein, and less than 20% fat. Also drink plenty of water. You should do strength training 3 days per week with a day of rest between sessions. Be sure to consume a combination of both protein and carbohydrates within 30 minutes of your workouts. Balance your workout sessions with 3-5 days of cardio. To gain the weight, you will need to consume extra calories, but they need to be the right type- mainly protein and complex carbohydrates, which will be your main energy source. Also be sure to get enough sleep to allow for complete muscle recovery before your next workout.
Talking to a dietitian is the safest way... that way, you can work with them to set up a meal plan and exercise regiment to help you gain weight.
The "powder supplement shakes" should only be used as an assistance to diet/exercise, not as a soul source.

Also, to note, the WORST way to gain weight is just to eat more... it's moreso eating the right things to gain the weight to make sure you're getting more of the healthy stuff.
maybe your not working out your whole body. like if you work out your stomach and not your legs youll be dispoportioned. I would say you should try running or walking on the treadmill or outside for an hour a day so the weight will fall off easily. If you dont want to walk then work out your arms, legs, and stomach!
