·What is the difference between diet and a healthy diet?

Question:

Answers:
"A diet" typically is a temporary calorie reduction, or temporary change of eating habits to conform to some book for the sole purpose of losing weight. They are not intended to be used for the long term... one is expected to return to normal eating behaviors once they have reached their goal weight. That is why they don't work. You BECAME overweight with those eating patterns, it will happen again if you go back to them.

"A healthy diet" is usually referring to just eating healthy and having healthy eating habits. You aren't necessarily counting calories or restricting your intake... you are just eating better quality foods. You are selecting a chicken salad instead of pizza, oatmeal instead of donuts etc. These healthy eating habits are considered a permanent behavior that will keep the person healthy forever. They will continue even after the person has reached their ideal weight.
diets work faster and are fkin awesome and healthy diet works so slowly , like 1 pound a week when on a diet you could lose 10
I think when most people talk about a diet they refer to a temporary, weight loss regime. A healthy diet is something that should be a lifelong thing, not temporary.
Reducing the quantity is diet and taking the optimum requirement for your health and fitness is healthy diet.
It depends on your perspective. I think of a "diet" with a definite beginning and ending time. Once the diet is over, you go back to your old unhealthy eating habits and gain weight. A healthy diet is more of a lifestyle change. You make a conscious effort to make permament changes in your eating habits. A healthy diet would be 60% complex carbohydrates (whole grains), 20% high quality protein (eggs and low-fat dairy, fish), and less than 20% fat. Be sure to consume a wide variety of fruits and vegetables along with plenty of water (1/2 ounce for evry pound of body weight per day.) I hope this answers your question.
Ahealthy diet is for the long term, where-as a diet is usually just for short term and if you don't do it healthyily you're just gonna put all the weight back on as fast as you lost it!
diet is what you eat and a healthy diet includes more healthy foods obviously... but wait... wait there... oh yeah... i don't know what i'm on about! i'm talking out of my a**
diet is what and how you eat in general
people might think of diet as something they can do for a certain time -a few days or weeks (fad diets) or a few months ("when i lose this weight i am gona start eating like i did before")
healthy diet is one you can follow every day of your life and you dont gain weight back because you dont "get off" the diet
a diet= something generally done to lose weight , normally quick and you also reduce something, whether it is the fat consmption or the calories where as a healthy diet is comprised of 2000 kcls a day [for women and men is 2500] and just has healthy food and the correct amount of each mineral, vitimin and food source is consumed :)
hope this helped with your querie

Dietting is cutting out all the temptations. Healthy diet is a lifestyle. It's eatting things that are good for you.
Forget these people who tell you diet is something you do (like starving yourself) to lose weight.

That really winds me up.

Diet is basically everything you eat. Food and drink.

A healthy diet is obviously a healthy version of this.

A healthy diet would consist of a variety of food containing all of the nutrients your body needs. These include carbs (pasta, rice, potatoes, etc.) Protien (chicken, fish, eggs, etc) and vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (from fresh fruit, veg, nuts and seeds, etc.) Current research suggests it is better to have four or five small meals a day, rather than one or two big ones.

Hope this helps.
Hiya, There isn't any difference as in 'diet' which means what you eat every day. 'Healthy' means good nutritious food that you eat every day.

People seem to think 'diet' means losing weight but it doesn't it just means what you actually consume each and every day.

I bet I've confused you even more now - haven't ?
The difference between a diet and a healthy diet is:-

A diet is only temporary and when you stop over a period of time you put all the weight back on again.

A healthy diet is:-

A diet which incorporates healthy foods. Lots of vegetables, lean meats, fish, lots of fresh fruit, healthy cereals, wholemeal foods, low fat dairy products.

Limiting the amount of sugar, saturated fat, and junk food.

Also regular exercise.

That is a healthy diet.
