I'm addicted to coffee at 14. what can i do?

Question:
I'm on a protein diet at the moment because this summer included lots of junk eating. so I'm trying to shape back up for school.

I'm not allowed to have ANYTHING that could potentially have sugars. Not even fruit. So i turned to coffee because we can use splenda in it.

I now drink about 4 cups a day. What can i do to stop. From what i've heard, it stains your teeth, ew.

Answers:
they actually say coffee can be good for you, but then again, like anything else, you need to drink it in moderation.
I drink 1-2 cups a day, seeing that you're on a protein diet you may want to try and cut down a bit, you are too young to be hooked on 4 cups a day. a good alternative that can work well with your protein diet can be to add a teaspoon of fibersure (5 gms) to your coffee, protein plus fiber is the best one two punch to any diet. But still try to cut down cause is just going to get worst as you get older. Hope this helps you out.
Try decaf coffee. Brush with total.
I also enjoy coffee, but 4 cups seems excessive. There are a lot of flavored waters on the market...many of them sweetened with Splenda. Also, water with lemon has miniscule sugar content.

If you have been drinking this much coffee for an extended period of time, you need to wean yourself off of it. Cut back to 3 cups, then 2 then 1 to avoid headaches. Best of luck to you.

cheers!
You could try decaf, or switch to tea, or sugar free red bull. I personally went from coffee to sugar free red bull and I don't drink as much red bull as I did coffee

Good Luck
Though coffee is mildly addictive, it can be easily dropped if you have even a little bit of willpower. One summer I was up to between 6-8 cups a day of VERY strong coffee. I stopped cold turkey and the worst I got was a few small headaches for about 3-4 days. It's not bad at all.
Actually, woman who drink coffee up to 4 cups daily can reduce their risk of breast cancer by 40%!Plus people who drink coffee have better skin as their skin is more hydrated.

If you want to stop drinking coffee, then stop it.Try water with a slice of lemon. It's pretty popular.

Actually everything you eat will turn into glucose, which is a form of sugar.Sugar is also a form of carbohydrate are you telling me that you don't consume carbohydrates?

In my opinion, you should opt for a long term goal rather than a short term goal.Aim for a healthy life style.Tell yourself that you are losing weight for your health rather than trying to get back in shape for school.

By the way, hope you will get back in shape and stop drinking so much coffee.Good luck!
