Metabolism effect weight-loss?

Question:
I've been trying to loose weight for a while now and can get it down but it seems not to go down more than 1kilo or so. I'm not skipping exercise sessions or eating snacks during the day just my main meals and thats it. Nothing un-healthy for my main meals i honestly don't know what I'm doing wrong. Could my metabolism be playing a part in this. And what exactly does it do?

Answers:
Metabolism has a huge effect on weight lose. To maximize your metabolism, you need to do two things: 1. You need to exercise. Both cardio and weight routine is ideal. Weights raise your metabolism by building muscle.
2. You need to eat. The more you eat, the faster your metabolism. Of course, you need to eat natural whole foods. Ideally you'd want to be eating 6 meals a day. Most people "diet" and it ends up slowing down your metabolism.

YES. Metabolism plays a big role in weight loss. Basically, it needs to be faster. To help your metabolism 'go faster' you actually need to eat more and in smaller portions. Eat 6 or 7 small meals a day, about 3 hours apart. Try to limit them to between 330 - 360 calories each and you will see the weight melt off of you.
yes metabolism do effect weight loss.. some people have high metabolism and this make them loss weight faster.. people with absolute high metabolism sometime find it hard even to gain weight due to their active lifestyle.. people with low metabolism such as those not really into sports will find it harder to loss weight than those with high metabolism..
there are some persons who have a very slow metabolism that is why they lose weight sluggishly. some persons with very fast metabolism loseweight rapidly or do not gain much even if they eat with lots of appetite.
drink lots and lots of green apple juice! IT HELPS!
I would suggest a cleansing diet. I lost 12 pounds in 9 days and then 28 pounds in less than a month. I also lost a lot of inches too! I learned that cleansing will help the body get rid of impurities. Impurities come from a lot of things like fast food, pollution, food additives and preservatives and lots of other things. The impurities get stored in the fat in our body. To get rid of the fat, we have to get rid of the impurities by cleansing the body. This made sense to me and I decided to try a cleanse program and it worked. The weight came off fast and this kept me motivated to keep going, not like other diets where the weight loss it too slow. I did Jenny Craig, Weight Watcher and Medifast. If you want to learn more call the toll free number 1-877-587-4647 or check out the website. This was the first time I ever did a cleanse, it was easy and I feel better. Good luck whatever you decide to do! http://diet4cleansing.tripod.com...
World book encyclopedia tells me that hormones control both the rate and direction of metabolism. Thyroxine, a hormone secreted by the thyroid gland determines the rate of metabolism. Eating increases the level of glucose in the blood. The pancreas responds by releasing the hormone insulin. Insulin triggers the cells to begin anabolic activities. If a person is fasting the pancreas releases the hormone glucagon this signals the cells to conduct more catabolic processes. So I say yes it does and chances are you are at your body weight. I too get down so low then it stops no matter what I eat or don't eat but at some point the feeling of well being starts to leave so I quit and pay attention to my diet.
