I can't shift the last few pounds on my abs - SHITE?

Question:
Someone gotta help me. I have lost the weight I want, but the last few stubborn pounds have not shifted. What to do?

Second q
The way I lost weight was basically healthy eating, but I think I lost WATER WEIGHT. Like - I have never drunk more than 1 cup of water a day - I just can't drink it down. I know I'm dehydrated- but what do you think? Was it water weight and should I push myself to drink more water, and add exercise to my weight loss regime (even though it seems to be going ok right now apart from my being tired all the time and dehydrated)

Answers:
You need to take on a cardio or weight training routine. There is only so much drinking water and eating healthier can do for your weight if you want to drop it.

*Do cardio 4-5x a week, walking 4 miles a day or riding your bicycle 4 miles a day.
*Get dumbells and work out your upper body or join the gym and train your pecs, traps, shoulders, biceps, back, and so on. Giving them 1 day breaks.

Basically you have hit the wall.. now you have to break through it!

The more muscle you build, the easier it is for you to lose weight and feel healthier.

As for the water, you should always be drinking plenty of water, at least your body weight in OZ's.
up the water you drink, not too much but drink more than that!! and get on the cardio! keep the sit ups and core exercises going and whatever you do dont give up!! push yourself harder and drink green tea and maybe try x-edra cut from usn. they are an matabolic booster and fat burner. good luck
you should drink more. especially if u r working out a lot.
as for the 'last few pounds' it depends on how u r losing the weight in the first place. If you eat properly ie. right amount of protein, carbs etc, you need to just keep working out!
your weight wont go immediately!
you have to be patient =D

"If at first you dont succeed, try and try again"
so... keep working out until you have reached your target =D
definitely definitely definitely exercise! that will shed those last pounds on your abs in no time. do 30 mins of cardio a day and you'll be perfect. and yes, drink more.
Water is very important -drink recommended amounts, cut back on salt/sodium (read labels) Water helps to Carry ash (from burned up fat) and other impurities from your body.
Extra carbohydrates go straight to the belly if you are not using them for energy.
what !? you Have to drink drink drink water that will help you loss weight.
#1 you only need to weigh in the morning
#2 its normal to get stuck in a stand still with you weight losing process.
#3 do cardio it WILL help!
#4 water weigh is no big think you would rather have water weight then Fat weight. oh yeah don't forget if you are working out then you are going to put on Muscle weight again good weight.
How many is a few?

Yes it does sound like you are dehydrated. Copy and paste the link below to get to my website to request a free sample of a product called Lift-Off. It's an energy drink and comes in two flavors, orange and lemon-lime. It's the official energy drink of the AVP volley ball tournament.

Or you can email me at: NoDayLikeToday@theonlinebusine... and I will send you a free sample of this great new product called H3O. It's a sports drink, much like Gatorade only without all of the sodium and no after taste. Perhaps you have seen the July issue of Sports Illustrated with David Beckham on the cover? H3O will be the exclusive sports drink of the LA Galaxy this season.
if you lost weight the right way, slowly over time, then it shouldn't be water weight you lost. that only happens if you lose 5 lbs in 4 days. so that being said, being dehydrated actually causes your body to hold onto fat. so you are doing yourself a disservice by not drinking much water. you don't need to go overboard with the drinking, because i'm sure you get it through your food too, but adding a few more cups a day won't hurt you. last, and i hate to tell you this, becasue no one wants to hear it, but it is possible that genetically, no matter how much weight you lose, you will always have a little pooch there in front. you may get skeletal everywhere else and still not be satisfied with your tummy. that is the way i am with my butt. my trainer has said i've lost all the fat that i can lose and still be healthy, so be happy with what i have achieved. i'm trying but it's hard. so be prepared that it may not happen for you, or you may have to go to extreme measures to lose it. are you willing?
Answer to second question -
Yes, you have to drink more than one cip of water a day although any water based drink will also work. You need at least seven cups to be healthy. If you only drink one cup of water and now have cut back on food you are likely to be severly dehydrated.

Also, yes you must add excercise to your plan and. It seems like you have lost weight but are still unhealthy. If significantly increase your water intake and add about one hour of excercise you will contine to loose weight and you will stop being tired.

Good luck
since the others answered the second question pretty much thoroughly as to what i have to say but to question 1, you should drink more water, prolly 8-10 glasses per day! besides the fact that you are dehydrated from all the workout, if you dont get enough water, your body will hold on to the water you drank = water retention = gaining water weight. hence, by drinking more water, your osmoticregulation will react with your ultrafiltration in your liver, therefore, just flushing out all the excess water and using whats needed for sweating n' keeping your body cool etc.

The idea that you will burn stored fat as a fuel, if you get too little fuel from your diet, IS A MYTH.

Chemically, stored fat CANNOT be burned as fuel. Dieting will interfere with your ability to convert fat into a burnable form. Your body thinks there's a famine, and economises by releasing as little fuel as possible, while storing as much as is available.

Weight can be lost very quickly. Fat CANNOT. Rapid weight loss is almost all muscle (dismantled, not burned), or water. A constant feeling of fatigue is one strategy for reducing energy output, and disposing of muscle tissue.

To burn fat around your middle (the idea that you can't remove fat from specific bodyparts is also A MYTH), you need to do waist activities that use fat as a fuel. These movements will activate 'slow twitch' muscle fibres, which are weak, do not fatigue, and provide the gentle start for all movements. Movements which remain gentle throughout, ONLY BURN FAT.

(Power, either for acceleration or strength, is added by 'recruiting' fast-fibres, which burn sugar. Chemically, this is an explosive, but the reaction is short. These fibres fatigue quickly, making you tired and hungry.)

Your abdominal, back and other 'core' muscles will need to learn some new habits. Dieting has taught them to use as little fat as possible. To burn fat, they need to become gently active, all the time. This won't happen while you're feeling fatigued.

Walking like a pimp, salsa dancing, and capoeira all use a lot of 'core' movements. You need more energy if you're going to do these. Eat more, and consciously use your waist as much as possible. Pilates classes will teach you some 'core' movements that improve your posture and become habitual. Doing them habitually means that these muscles are habitually more active, and therefore using more fat.
