If you are tryingto lose weight, I suggest taking the amount of calories you are going to consume and divide them up. I usually go for about 300 breakfast, 150 snack, 400 lunch, 150 snack, 300 dinner-roughly. It keeps your metabolism burning. It has worked great for myself!
Basically every three hours or so is a good way to space it out.
Do not eat carbs late.Mid day you should try to replace your electrolytes. I prefer my heavier protein intake early.
As for portion size, it is really small. If you read labels on the foods you buy, it will tell you portion size. A lot of the times, the portions are for two or more.
look up canadas food guide on the internet and it will show how much a serving size is. 6 small meals a day, it means very small. usually you eat every four hours, or just eat when your hungry.
