Do the things you did 20 years ago. ACTIVITY. At your age, you should be able to get very close to what you did when you were 20. It may take some work, but hey, how bad do you want it?
I took up triathlon at 39 to solve a similar problem. Inside 2 years, I was down 40lbs, and at my college wrestling weight. Now, 15 years later, my 24 year old son's friends are afraid to mountain bike with me because I'm way too fast for them.
Your metabolism doesn't slow down with age, you do. For the most part everything holds up pretty well if you give it a chance. I set most of my running personal bests in my mid 40's, even though I ran track and cross country in college. I just learned to train smarter and harder.
A friend of mine took up marathon running at age 58. Now, he is the only man over 80 to have finished Ironman Hawaii in regulation time.
You aren't that old, and you've got time. Get after it.
How much do you have to lose? I recently (in the last 2 years) lost 40 pounds. I used what I learned over the years in Weight Watchers to lose the first 20 and the second 20 have come off in the last 9 months by running! I never was a very active person now, but I am more athletic and active than ever and I love it
I would use Alli diet pill and gradually follow a diet and a work out program even to walk for 30 minutes will make a big difference. And why Alli because you will still lose weight with eating fat and usual meals with a little bit law calorie.Trust yourself and start off very soon. Good luck.
don't diet. waist of time and just too stressful. go for a change in your way of life, you need at least 1/2 an hours exercise each day. that is the recommended amount, as this gives time for your heart to work hard enough and reach the correct threshold to become affective in weight control. food needs to be healthy...not too heavy on the butter, cream or salt. useless even attempting to loose weight with out exercise. don't kid yourself like so many of us. that fad's and cheats NEVER work.
I think you are so lucky that everything else in your life is perfect! Start walking, its good for losing weight and good for everything else too.
What you need is a motivation for losing weight. If you can imagine the end-goal when you are thinner and sexier, you will try harder. Imagine you will feel and look good, can get into that sexy dress, people will start getting attracted to you, think about living a healthy lifestyle and live well for the sake of yourself and your kids.
