Exercise!?!?


Question:
So right now it is the dog days of August and where I am its like 100, w/ a heat index of like 105. If I do alot of stuff outside, I get dizzy, no matter how hydrated I am, the heat just doesn't bode well with my body. I still need to exercise though. I usually walk my dog or bike, but those are outdoors. Any ideas of how to exercise, but inside? Thanks :)

Absolutely...get you some workout videos or DVDs, move the coffee table out of the way, and get busy.

Also, put on some good music and dance around.

If you have cable tv, some newtworks have workout shows at various times of day. Workout with those, or tape them for when it's convenient for you to workout.
Turn on the fan or ac at home and get cranking with a set of dumbells. If you do not have one, go and get some, they are cheap.

You can do curls and most upper body work-outs with them even squats for thighs. You can still do crunches for your stomach and other workouts which are plastered all over the internet. Just do a search like "dumbell workouts" on google. :-) Good luck and I hope the heat goes down!
I am trying to feel healthy and lose a few pounds for my upcoming wedding. My advice would be to first of all don't exercise alone! See if a friend will come along, it makes it a lot easier (at least for me)
I start out in the evenings by just walking around my little town (about a mile) to warm up. Then I come inside my house and I do 2 Denise Austin videos. If you haven't tried her videos you really should weather you want to lose weight or just tighten up a little bit. She's got videos for just about everything you would want. Personally, I love her Fat Burning Dance mix video. It has 4 different dance workouts that only last 10 mins each, they are a lot of fun! Before I do that video though I do her hit the spot pilates; this video is amazing because you can do a separate workouts for your thighs, abbs, core...
