Don't cut out carbs. Instead of eating simple carbs, eat complex carbs. They will provide more energy for you plus you get the added benefit of fiber.
Also, try to do some sort of exercise at least 3 days a week. Walking, swimming, basketball, anything. As long as you are moving, it doesn't matter.
The best thing to do when on a diet is to NOT skip meals. Try to eat about 6 small, healthy meals a day. Also, I dont know what people have against carbs, a diet can incorporate carbs and still work. Just try to stay away from simple carbohydrates, like white breads, potatoes, and sugary foods, and eat more of the whole grains, like wheat bread and brown rice. I think you can be successful without jepordizing your health.
First of all, because of your condition, you MUST consult your doctor first. Skipping meals is definitely not the answer, and your doctor may recommend a nutritionist, who will work with you on portion control and a balanced diet. Exercise will help too. Good luck!
Ask your diabetic doctor to recommend a dietician. They can tell you what is good for your condition.
You don't sound all that overweight to begin with. Just make better eating choices. Exercise. Start with walking. Skipping meals and cutting out carbs is not the answer. Cutting down on the food on your plate helps too. Eat on a smaller plate so you won't put as much on.
That's easy. Why don't you just exersize it off? Try walking everyday or use a treadmill. and throw away every thing that is junk food. eat fruits or veggies for snacks. Only have sweets on special occasions.Drink a LOT of water. Have a lot of rest each day no matter what.
Think fruits fruits, vegetables, and nuts! Make smoothies, and eat salads and drink lots of pure water. Cut out all sodas, even diet ones. Go to the library and research healthy mealplaning for diabetics...there are some great books out there.
You must also move your body and incorporate a plan where you are doing some kind of activity 30 minutes a day (walking, light jogging, swimming, to start.) As this becomes more natural for you, try to increase it to 45 minutes a day.
Good luck!
To successfully lose weight, you must carry out
a plan to balance your caloric intake with exercise.
Ideally, dieting should be done by eating a nutritionally
balanced, low-calorie diet and increasing physical activity.
