Is this bad? I was starving to the point that i had trouble going to sleep. I was so busy today that I?
Question:
I am really particular about weight gain...I am currently dieting (eating very healthy), but will this cause me to gain weight? I know midnight snacking is the worst possible thing to do right??
Answers:
If you do not eat and you start to lose weight its because your body is starting to feed upon itself. instead of getting some grapes and cheesecake eat some apples and banannas. loosing weight is a great thing and I am proud of you for making that choice but seriously what good is dieting if you are not excersicing and starving...im not trying to be mean at all Im just saying to think ahead. Start packing a lunch with fruits and vegetables in it. If it gets busy snack on the food.
Of course it's bad, you're not eating enough through the day, which is why you ended up eating at night. The thing is, it really doesn't matter what time of the day you eat. A calorie is a calorie. Your mind may start at diet at 12am Monday, but your body sure as hell doesn't recognise that.
And oh, the cheesecake was worse than the wholegrain wheat bread you ate.
If you do gain weight it will be from the lack of food throughout the day.
Your body may have gone into starvation mode and begun to hold on to everything you give it. This usually doesn't happen in one day but if you keep this schedule of not eating for two or three days you're going to gain weight.
You're better off eating more, a lot more.
2 servings of lean meat
4 servings of vegetables
2 servings of fruit (not past 6)
2 servings of light bread
8 oz. skim milk
1 tsp. morton light salt
8-10 glasses of water a day
very little/no condiments
no fruit or vegetable juice
no carmel sodas (Coke, Pepsi) no more than 1 serving light CLEAR soda a day (sprite, 7-up) less is better
no dairy (cheesecake)
less than 2 packs artificial sweetener, no sugar (cheesecake)
You'll lose more weight eating what's listed here than you'll lose by eating a few grapes and cheesecake each day.
