Question:
WANT TO LOSE WEIGHT BUT DONT REALLY WANT TO STRIVE MYSELF AND GET ON A STRICT DEIT.

Answers:
First of all, I'm trying to start a weight loss group to help ppl trying to lose weight with motivation, tips, and such. If you're interested in joining, email me: iwannaloveyou48@yahoo.com... Here are some tips on a healthy diet and exercise plan:

In addition to 60 minutes of cardio a day (Walking, jogging, swimming, dancing, or jumping rope are great!) I do ab circuits multiple times daily.
*100 crunches
*50 bicycle crunches
*25 leg lifts
*balance your weight on your right elbow (20 seconds)
*balance your weight on your left elbow (20 seconds)
*20 push-ups

Tip: always keep your abs tight (even when sitting or walking)

Diet: eat foods low in sodium to counteract bloating of the stomach; eat healthy food all around

For arms, legs, etc. I use resistance bands, weights, and do squats and lunges (50 lunges at a time and 25 squats at a time).

Small changes are a key to starting a healthier lifestyle
*Take the stairs instead of the elevator.
*Walk up the escalator if there aren't stairs.
*During a break from work, just go outside and walk (you'll be more inspired to keep at it if it's outside on a pretty day) or do a few squats.
*Start small: Do a few crunches/ push-ups each day, and steadily increase the number.
*Even though your schedule is busy, try to fit in at least 30 minutes of walking or some other cardio. (jogging, swimming, jumping rope)
*Turn on some upbeat music and just dance... At home, this isn't embarrassing or anything. Just relax and dance; it's really fun!
*Throw out all the junk food in your house, and don't let yourself buy any... When you're tempted to buy/eat junk food, picture yourself as gorgeous and thin... that'll keep your focus on the goal.
*Switch to whole grain foods; they are much healthier.
*Choose healthier snacks... We're always tempted by sugary and high calorie snacks like we find in vending machines. Instead pack an apple, a rice cake (they are REALLY good), or a nutrition bar.
*Add more servings of fruits and vegetables; it's tough, but they are healthy and can fill you up faster.
*When fixing a meal, prepare everything then put up the bags, boxes, etc. so you won't be tempted by seconds.
*Brush your teeth right before and after a meal. It will curb your appetite.
*Eat slowly and take smaller bites because the "I'm full" hormones will be signalled better.
Cut your food portions in half, learn how to use chopsticks!! It worked for me..Chew your food slower and do not eat after 8 pm. Good luck...exercise too.
Exercize and Just eat smaller portions
If you burn enough calories you really don't have to worry about what you eat too much. I would take up running.
Do not do a diet, they never help at all. Here is what you can do: Eat healthy and eat what you want but just in moderation, that is the key. You can still have the foods you love but just eat it in moderation. Have a serving of that food item. Also to really help you loose weight is to do cardio and weight lifting 3 to 5 times a week. Make sure you get alot of protein, that will make a big difference.
i like the mayo diet and as long as you exercise and get your heart rate up for 30 minutes 3-4 times a week you should see results fairly quick.
Just eat "the food pyramid" (eat that food and those servings) and exerising a LITTLE BIT would help. Also try to not eat for 2 hrs before you go to bed. Don't live by the scale, pick one day a week and weigh yourself only those days. Also doing it with a friend helps. maybe one day a week say "this is my easy day" and eat... not the "old way", but eat a little more of the junk i guess that way your not cutting out your favorate fatty dessert lol. hope this helps! good luck!!
-Drink Lots of water
-Run.. instead of popping in a movie eating nachos lying on the couch buy a tread mill pop in a movie and run while u watch the movie to make it like a reward
My mother walks with a friend like about three times a week, around the neighborhood and also she eats in small portions of food.
Also, fruits and veggies.
She's improving.
^.^
Actually, your idea is the best way to lose weight and keep it off permanently. Try this...Cut back on packaged foods and fast foods as much as possible. If you happen to have a fast food lunch, try to counter it by having a really light dinner. Replace all soda with water or iced tea. Cut way back on the sweets. I eat toast and jelly to satisfy my sweet tooth. Breads such as the Ezekiel line are good for this because they're made with sprouted grains which are good for you. (And they taste good too!)
I am currently lossing weight. I have suprised everyone including my doctor with how much I have lost and how. I use absolutly no products.
1) I switched every white flour product I eat with whole grain. it's suprising how good whole grains really are. They help regulate your ... Bathroom rutine and reduce stomach problems. Increase your fiber slowly or you could become constupated. Opps! you need to work up to 25-30 grams of bulk fiber per day from grains, fruits and veggies.
2) at 150 pounds you need to eat 1500 calories per day to sustain your current weight, lower your calorie intake but no less than 1000 or you body could go into survival mode.
3) Take a walk. It only takes 30 mins of even light walking to make a big difference. Remember you want to burn more calories than you consume. try getting a step counter. increase the # of steps you take daily. work up to 10,000 steps a day then surpast that if possible.
4) Water, water, water!!!! When you drink water it helps flush water from your body. when you deprive your self of water your body stores it with can make you bloat. a good goal is 1 liter a day. also stop drinking sodas and stuff with suger in it. acrbonated beverages add bloat to your body. and if you think about it, one can of soda contains over 150 calories. You could eat 2 servings of almonds for that and get vital nutrients like protein, fiber, potassium and other benifts. also almonds make the best snack. they have soemthing in htem that helps curb your appitite- just moderation. I don't even crave cola anymore, except for that time of the month or when i'm sick i'll have a fountain coke from sonic. I drink unsweet raspberyy tes from sonic and it's so much tastier than a soda and i get 32 oz of water when i get a large. But make sure you have a bathroom near by. man increasing water increases- you know what.
5) The benifits of strength training. Get a couple of 3-5 pound dumb-bells and work out your arms and legs. check out my favorite trainer, Tamilee Webb. she is amazing and makes the work outs fun and she is just so very encouraging. Remember, muscle burns fat and raises your metabolism.
6) Remeber, be patient too. For a time i got depressed because i was not seeing results on the scale, but my pants were getting so lose and everyone around me was so encourging as well.
7) Another tip I have is to change your eating pattern. I eat my heaviest meals at breakfast and lunch. I leave smaller and lighter meals for dinner- I really like cereal. Also stop eating 2-3 hours before bed.
Another thing I do when I just don't feel like going through it anymore. I find a "Hot" female celebrity I would like to be like and look up what kinds of workouts they like to do. I also buy a bathing suit at the beginning of the season and hang it on the wall. I see it every day and I say "One day I will wear you." My inspiration is to fit into my mothers size 6 leather mini skirt she got in the 80's. Also don't by into the hollywood hype. Find a size you feel good in and strive for that. trying to get down to a size 2 is unrealisitic for most people and you should not stress over it. you'd be amazed what lossing 10 lbs can do for your self esteem.
Best of luck, You can do it if you really make "life changes".
