I have a friend that is almost 500 pounds?

he's 29 and i want to help him loose weight. he can do almost everthing i can do just slower i eat more than him any day he is a really cool guy and i don't want to see him suffer any more or even die,,

Wow? First make sure he wants to lose the weight. If he really wants he needs to be prepared for sacrificing some food.

Make sure he eats a balanced breakfast. No bacon or sausage.
Eat whole grain cereals with 1%, 2%, and fat free milk.
Chose 100% whole wheat bread.
Eat every three hours with a snack in between.
For example. Fruit: apples, grapes, strawberries, banasas, kiwi, and etc. Or eat granola bars or engery bars like 100 calories Balanced Bars.
Chose whole wheat pasta.
Get more fiber. At least 25-30 grams per day.
Eat lean protein like chicken and fish.
Eat at Subway instead of other Fast Food places.
Drink plenty of WATER. 8-10 glasses per day or buy a 24 package of water bottles. Chose DEER PARK because its not tap.
Read nutrition labels. Thats imporant.
Last, the best advice is to stop eating 2 hours prior to your bedtime.
Does he want help-some people can be very sensitive.
You can just spend time with him in the park and go on long walks or jogs.
You can also invite him over for a tasty but healthy meal and show him healthy food can taste good.
If you really, really wanna help him tell him the consequences of his bad habits and maybe he'll listen.
Also show him some cool healthy places around town to eat or give him some healthy recipies too!
Last but not least (I saw this on TV) tell each of his friends to "sponcer" one of his pounds so when he loses that pound the friend rewards him, that way he will be motivated to lose weight!

You know, that's really nice of you... Anyways, you could tell him to eat like juices and stuff. Watch what he eats like the calories and stuff and you could start running or doing exercises. >.< Might not be much help so it'd be better if you search online.
