Can abs be done every day?

i workout 4 to 5 times a week my core gets work while i lift weights. I also started doing the p90 ab ripper can i do my abs 4 to 5 times a week or am i over working them

He says in the P90x video that you dont need to do this everyday. Abs are like any other muscle groups. You dont work your biceps two days in a row, similarly you dont work your abs everyday.
Follow the experts advice from the video and limit it to 2-3 sessions per week.

you can work them everyday, but you would probably see better results if u skipped a day or two in between.
You should work your abs every other day or two non-consecutive days a week because abs need a day's rest between workouts.

muscles actually build up during rest, so resting really helps.
Your muscles need 48 hours after exercise in order to build muscles. You should exercise them one day and rest them the next. You are causing more harm than good to exercise more often than that.
I like to work the lower body one day and the upper body the next.
If it doesn't hurt when you do your abs you should be fine but if it starts to hurt or feel sore then you should take a rest for a day or two
it depends. if you have abs that really need to be toned then 4 or 5 times is fine. if you want to gain muscle in the area, then you need to work every other day but very hard(=less repetitions but harder), and allow time to rest and built muscle

Sounds like you are overworking them. I don't know what a p90 ab ripper is, but I will tell you that most of the ripped men & women I know don't ever use machines for abs. I have gotten the best results from just standard ab exercises. A great site for abs is:
