Does a potatoe count towards your 'five a day'? I tend to consider it as belonging to the carbohydrates group.

Question:

Answers:
potatoes are vegetables

and they are not EVIL

A baked potato is only 145 calories, with ZERO FAT and very filling
potatoes r evil...they're a vegetable so they're "healthy" not pure carbs.just stay away from that evil vegetable
they are vegetables but you should count them as carbs because they have a ton of starch and sugar but not as much fiber and nutrients as other vegetables
They are high in carbs, but if you counteract that by making sure to eat the skin and not slathering it in oil, it won't be near as bad.

Even a diabetic diet can call for 200 carbs a day.
it's a carbohydrate, are you talking Veggies.?
