It happened to me. I've lost 15 pounds, so im not sure if it is normal. I have them on the left and right of my belly button and on the sides of my stomach. I do think it is normal tho. A quick call to your doctor would not hurt.
Stretch marks can appear on many areas of your body for different reasons including pregnancy, obesity, sudden growth spurts, or heredity. They can appear on your stomach, under arms, chest, upper thighs, waist and butt. So how do you get rid of stretch marks? There are many ways to get stretch marks to fade almost completely, but if you already have stretch marks it is very hard to completely eliminate them unless you have laser surgery

The easiest, cheapest way to start is to try different creams. Creams such as cocoa butter or other natural vitamin E products will increase your skin’s flexibility. There are also creams that will improve the regeneration of your cells, such as Vitamin A or AHAs creams. You can also talk to your doctor about getting a prescription stretch removal cream.
