Depends on a lot of things. If you eat a lot of salt and don't drink a lot of water, you could be retaining water. You could easily lose 6 pounds just by cutting salt and drinking water.
You can safely lose about 2lbs a week. Usually with weight loss, the first couple of weeks you follow a plan, you lose a bit more, because you're getting rid of water retention (yes, even if you're male). Any more than a sustained loss of 2lbs, and you're losing muscle, not fat, which isn't healthy.

By the 19th of agust which is about 12 days away u can drop about 5-10lbs but u have to fast nothing but water and protein shakes at least 2 a day no sweets fats sodas or beer cardio and weights are very effective combine the two eat protien low carb chicken or tuna wraps no mayo or ranch and stick to it ur a male ur full of pure muscle just waiting to come out
I didn't understand the 16 and half stone, but it all depends in your age and your sex. These two are factors of metabolism. If you can boost your metabolism high you will loose more fat.
Drink 2 cups of green tea. one in the morning and the other one with your lunch. Doing that automatically will help you loose 80 calories daily just by drinking 2 cups. (according to Mens Fitness Magazine)
If you cant stand green tea, do coffee instead.
Eat small and many meals. Try to do at least 5 - 7 meals daily. This is what i struggle with because i dont have the time to cook or i find myself away from home and nowhere near healthy food and i end up eating whatever i find.

Avoid soda, sugar, and JUICE AND MILK. i know we all grown thinking that juice is better than soda but it is as bad. instead of a cup of OJ, get a real orange.
Do cardio, with intervals. Run as fast as you can for 2 minutes and walk for 2 minutes. Do at least 30 minutes of Cardio daily.
If you are lucky and can do your cardio by swiming, do it. its a better wholebody cardio.

I think that if you start now and make sure you stick with it, you might be able to lose as much as half a stone but be careful, don't starve yourself and don't over exert yourself. You could end up feeling exhausted and very miserable.
