I really don't know where you get this information from, but no, basically. Water WILL NOT burn calories. It just won't give you any.
The good news is it is actually really easy to have a great, healthy toned bod and live a healthy lifestyle.
If you eat 4 or 5 small meals a day containing ALL the necessary nutrients your body needs, carbs (from pasta,rice,potatoes, etc), protien (from chicken,fish,eggs etc) and vitamins, minerals and antioxidants (from fresh fruit and veg), then this will consitute a good, healthy diet and in and of itself can help you lose a little weight. (You can still allow yourself the occasional pizza or takeaway, just limit it to maybe once a week or something like that.) This is why diets don't work, because you are denying yourself essential nutrients that your body needs and are craving the things you enjoy.
The most important thing though is EXCERCISE. I really cant stress this enough.
A good diet will give your body all the fuel it needs to excercise.
Cardio excercise (running/swimming/cycling/x training/bodycombat, etc) will not only increase your cardio fitness and make you healthier, but it will also burn off a lot of calories and help you shred fat.
Weight training is also essential. This does not mean getting huge muscles like arnie. Use light weights and lots of reps and this will 'tone' and condition your muscles so that you have a nicer and much stronger/supple and healthier body when you do shred the fat. Also as your muscles get used to excercise and get used to being worked, your metabolism (and the ammount of calories you need and can consume) will increase, helping you to keep the fat off.
If you really don't want to join a gym, then you can still do these excercises in a modified form at home.

Sounds okay so far. Losing weight, in theory, is very simple. All you have to do is burn more calories than you consume. A good way to get started is to keep a food diary. Write down everything you eat in a day and use www.nutritiondata.com to find out how many calories there are. Bring a weeks worth of your food diary to your doctor or a dietician and they can let you know how much you should be eating. For exercise, try something fun, like a dance video or aerobic excercise tape. It may sound dorky, but no one will see you, so it doesn't matter.
a) exercise at least 30 minutes every day.
b) drink at least 2 litres of water per day.
c) eat with measure, eat everything but just a little.
d)drink one glass of water before eating and one glass of water after you finish.
e) NEVER use pills
f) enjoy, be happy and dont worry
yeah seems about right and you can exercise at home...running in place..or around the house...pushups,situps,even dancing lol i dont think #4 matters but go ahead i guess?

1.) If you drink 8 glasses of water a day you will burn 300 calories.
a.) you also burn 100 calories for every hour you stand.
2.) You must exercise
a.) you can work out to shows on tv
b.) jump rope (it's an AMAZING work out.)
c.) or you could set up a little plan (i.e: doing 20 push ups a day and 100 crunches a night. If you increase the crunches by 50 a night... it really makes a fast difference.)
3.) Fruit is good but it's alot of sugar.
4.) Your teeth will rot less from citric acid than from chocolate.
You need to just sit down and figure out a diet plan and a exercise rountine.
to answer your question no. the only reason people drink water is to fill their stomach up so they wont be able to eat so much.try swimming that burns cal. and its not hard work
Just eat only complex carbs, lean meat, and lots of veggies. It will make your meals low caloried and yet filling and healthy. Reduce fruits for the meantime until you have reached goal weight.

Do brisk walking. They are great for burning body and tummy fats.
I am on low carb, low fat, high fibre, high protein and a hour brisk walk 5 times a week, and I have lost 31lbs and gain better health. I am now maintaining my 108lbs for more than a year.
