This answer is sort of tricky since you are on a program to build muscle also. Building muscle requires higher intakes of calories while burning fat requires lowering caloric intake. Its much easier to focus on one at a time but you can still do both, it'll just mean more work for yourself.
It takes a loss of about 5000 calories to burn off one pound or so of fat. Lower your caloric intake to about 1500 per day or so (any lower could cause your body to actually store fat since it believes that it is in survival mode to prevent starvation.)
As far as running goes, you should avoid running every day as it will cause excess strain on your already overworked joints. Think about the stress and impact you are putting on your knees and ankles. 2-3 miles per day 2-3 time per week is a healthy solution.
Main thing is, eat healthy, replace saturated fats with polyunsaturated and monounsaturated fats, lower caloric intake levels, fiber is your friend and a good multivitamin. Protein shakes are not a bad idea either. DO NOT OVER DUE IT, LISTEN TO YOUR BODY!! I cant stress this enough. The goal here is to avoid getting injured and to start an exercise program and diet that you can stick with for life. The neat thing about it is, the better shape you are in, the more calories your body will burn to try to maintain the muscle. Therefore, if you are a muscular person with good cardio, your body may actually erquire you to have a higher caloric intake level thatn normal to remain with the same muscular physique.

Well u should jog as long as a mile at least 4 times a week for 15 to 20 minutes at the most time
im about the same size as you but a little heavier i do 2 miles a day. if i can do more i try but i always limit a number and keep going till you get there the more you sweat and eat right the faster you'll lose weight plain and simple
I say just jog as long as you can without getting the feeling that you are going to throw up keep running every day if you can, oh and eat healthy! try to limit yourself when eating unhealthy foods, make your favorite kinds of foods, rewards that might help a little bit! : )
30 minutes for everyday will be enough. you also have to have some fat restriction in your food if you really want to lose weight. avoid eating to many sweet foods too and so are sodas. that might help. and don't eat dinner or night snacks, just breakfast and lunch.
I run Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. On those days, I try to run 3 miles per day. Eventually, if you can run 3 miles in less than 30 minutes, that is pretty good. Once you have it down to 20-25 minutes, even better. Build-up to it slowly or you might get bad shin-splints. Make sure you have good running shoes and buy new ones after 3 to 4 months.
