I kind of know where you're coming from, I had to quit basketball freshmen year because of my ankles... I would say the best things would be riding a bike and elliptical machines cause they are low impact. I used to run every day and I messed up my ankles (again) and knees, I got an elliptical machine at Wal-Mart for under $200 and both feel a lot better because there's no impact. I hope this helps you.
Well, what i would do is try massages and also my dad is a personal trainer whenever he has any pain on various parts of his body, he either uses a cooling/heating relief cream, i don't know the name but it is really good and works effectively aswell, apply to your knee before you do any form of excercise.. that should work
i have the same problem. im a cheerleader too. all you have to do is eat jello. the gellatin helps the cartilige inbetween the bones. the reason it hurts is because the cartilige is thinning from your workouts. just eat jello. it worked for me.
