Always hungry...how to stop it...?
Question:
Answers:
when you crave certain foods, it is because your body is telling you it needs something ( when you crave ice cream your body might need dairy... or when you crave pretzels your body might need salt)
when you curb those cravings with junk food (food with empty calories) you do not give your body what it needs, so you get hungry again sooner.
try eating healthier foods for a little while. also eat smaller meals more often (instead of breakfast lunch and dinner, try eating a snack when you wake up, another mid morning, a lite lunch, a snack before supper, and a lit supper) this will help speed up your metabolism.
good luck!
Everytime you feel like eating, just drink a ton of water. It will make you full plus it's healthy and on the plus side, it doesn't make you gain any weight!
Hi,
It makes a big difference what you eat. If you're eating all carbohydrates, such as sugar, flour, which you'll find in donuts, cookies, cakes, white bread, bagels, etc., you won't stay satisfied for long. If you had some protein to those foods and make the white flour into whole grain, you will stay satisfied much longer.
For example: if you eat a piece of toast for breakfast, you'll probably be hungry in an hour or two, but if you have an egg or peanut butter with the toast, it will last you twice that long.
The same goes for your other meals. If you add some protein to each meal, it will keep your hunger at bay for longer.
I hope this helps.
Take care.

I used to have the same problem. what worked best for me was to gradually eat less. start tomorrow, think of how many snacks you have had today and tomorrow eat one less. than once you get used to it(in about 2-3 days)cut back one less.than keep doing this until you are eating 3 meals and 1 snack every day.
wow.. you have great appetite.. and great metabolism.. hurrmm.. try to workout everyday.. drink plenty of plain water.. thats all i can help.. good luck!!
I had the same problem but I gained alot of weight. Until I went to the doctor and he said its this thing called, Insulin Resistance. Its sorta like diabetes but not as bad. Talk to your Doctor and see whats up. Drinking water always kept my appetite down before the medicine I got.
It could be caused by different things like emotions but it is probably happening because you are overfed but UNDERNOURISHED. See this webpage to learn about how you can lose that compulsion to always eat.
Helpful Tips for weight loss:
1)A good way to loose weight is to use a calorie counter watch
Keep to a 1,200 food intake
Add 1,200 plus 3,500 (equals one pound of fat) ...and that is the total amount of calories you need to burn each day. Its actually really easy once you start watching the numbers and it doesn't seem like work or exercise. Its just a matter of changing the way you think about loosing weight.
I use this method when i gain some pounds. The first time I did this I went from 168 to 127
2) Most people do not get enough water in their system. Water is your body's principal chemical component, comprising, on average, 60 percent of your weight. Every system in your body depends on water. For example, water flushes toxins out of vital organs, carries nutrients to your cells and provides a moist environment for ear, nose and throat tissues.
Lack of water can lead to dehydration, a condition that occurs when you don't have enough water in your body to carry out normal functions. To determine if you are getting enough water use this simple formula.. Take your weight, for example 150 pounds and divide by 2. Take your answer which is 75 lbs and change it to ounces, in this case 75 ounces. That is how many ounces of water you need a day. Your body performs mostly on water. If you make sure you get enough water everyday your body will perform at top notch and your body will no longer have the cravings of junk food. You will have a better performing body system to help you work out and feel better thru out your day.
1. Eat more fruits and veggies
2. Eat a large, healthy breakfast.
3. Eat s-l-o-w-l-y
4. After you finish a meal, if you're still hungry, wait 20 minutes before you eat anything else. It takes a long time for your stomach to signal that you're full.
5. Get a food journal and record what foods you eat and how many calories they are. After a while, you'll learn which foods have fewer calories, and you can eat more of.
6. Drink lots of water! Sometimes, you may think you're hungry when you're really just thirsty.

Then if u eat lean proteins like turkey burgers and Chiken and 94% beef are great and u wont gain weight u wil be full and eat less... For snacks eat lean chesses and fruit and veg..

Eat things that fill you up like peanuts. Then eat your regular meal.
Drink water! Because, it has no calories or anything and you end up peeing it out later.
