Any suggestions for food for a busy college student?

I went through the same thing because I commuted; I packed all my classes together with no time to go to the cafeteria. I always took a variety of things. First, in the morning, I had my coffee in my thermos and a breakfast/snack bar, like the special K bars. I always had sliced apples on hand, even with a little peanut butter in a small plastic container to dip them in. I carried flavored rice cakes, those mostly kept me busy snacking because I got bored. They are super low in calories too. I would really suggest getting a smaller insulated lunchbag of some sort so you can keep a freezer pack in there. I always packed half of a turkey sandwich and some cubed cheese or string cheese for protein. Also, pack some yogurt. I brought almost, cashews, and sunflower seeds too. Not that I took all this stuff everyday, but these were my basics. Oh you might try taking carrot/celery sticks w/peanut butter too. And if you have a blender in your dorm, make a smoothie in the morning for breakfast and take it with you in a thermos. 1 cup of yogurt, 1 banana, handful of frozen strawberries, splash of orange juice, and maybe a little vanilla extract ifyou have some on hand. And let's see, what else. I took chicken salad that I bought at local grocery store's deli in a plastic container and some wheat thin chips to eat it with. That's all I can remember. Try to switch it up a lot or you will get really bored with the same foods.
Fresh fruits that don't need refrigerating, like apples, bananas and grapes - but nothing you need a knife to peel, and nothing drippy or sticky like oranges, unless you prepare it and put it in a ziploc before heading to classes. Also, granola bars or loose granola that you can put in a ziploc, and maybe a protein bar like Pure Protein brand - they have some good flavors to choose from and taste the best of all the protein bars to me. Don't forget to carry a water bottle too.
