Well that sir would be a solid combination of eating right, doing cardio, and doing sit ups. You don't have to give up beer, just not drink so much. You need to get out there and run. Plan a set route. It's okay if you can't run it all the way through on your first try, in fact that's good. Push yourself to keep going, but when tired power walk until you can run again. After your body feels restored and after some relaxing (without beer) get down and do sit ups. The key to losing any weight is consistency, it won't do you any good to go all out one day only to knock back 4 beers the next. Good luck my friend.
