The only way to do it is to burn off more calories then you are taking in. The thing is you want to make sure you are loosing the right weight which I assume is fat. There are three main components to loosing weight. They are diet, resistance training, and cardiovascular exercise. For diet try to eat balanced meals, small ones 5 to 6 times per day every 3 hours. You want to incorporate protein sources as well as good carbs. Like chicken, fish and lean beef for protein. Oats brown rice and sweet potatoes for carbs.
Make sure that you do some form of resistance training to build up lean muscle, this will also help you burn fat and boost your metabolism for future weight loss.
Your cardio is there simply to burn off those extra calories.

Ur a male i assume we are made up of pure musle leave the icecream ,beer ,carbs and sweet sodas alone drink nothing but water two or three protien shakes a day , protein protein protien is the key a typical male can drop 10-19lbs in 31 days

Women finally get some rights, but we limit ourselves like this and our bodies are reduced to objects we inspect and criticise. Men decide to only value women for their looks and a thin, attractive wife symbolizes social status for them. Girls call each other fat as the greatest insult they can muster. When did fat become worse than cruel, stupid, dishonest, lazy or cowardly. When did "chubby" start to mean the last four of those things?
We are killing our daughters and wasting our lives trying to meet an ideal that blows. I wish women would get together and fight it instead of letting others control us like this. Unless you are considered obese, or have a BMI of over 25, don't worry about it. Love your body and your confidence will light up the room and give other women permission to love themselves too.
