Because instead of exercising you are setting here..
You get no exercise by sitting on the computer, it can harm your vision bc you strain looking at the screen. It can cause headaches. It can make you moody. It can also cause carpal tunnel from your fingers being bent and typing for such long periods of time.
Because it creates a sedentary lifestyle. Instead of going out and exercising, you're simply sitting around.
Physically because the repetitive motion of the mouse and keyboard cause carpel tunnel, the long exposure to the monitors can damage your eyesight, and people typically slouch and cause muscle imbalances.
Mentally and emotionally because it closes you off from real human contact and turns you into a hermit.
Oh yeah, and that stuff she said about being sedentary and not getting any activity, which your heart and muscles desperately need.

It is called computer fatigue. There are some things you can do, while you are using your computer, to help alleviate and avoid these energy-robbing aches and strains.
